Portarlington News 2021 – JAN
Late 2020 the PBDA website went offline when the Host WebCity became Vodien.
The website has now been rebuilt on new hosting for 2021 by Bellarine Websites over January with a few minor changes and updates to the original.
Online on 1st Feb 2021.
The PBDA Business & Community Directory publicly distributed in printed booklet form also features on the website as a PDF image. This is for online access by anyone to find all business members and local community providers. The PBDA Business & Community Directory Booklet is a huge job for our volunteers to produce over a short time frame so another method of implementing the updates and registering new business members is being addressed by Bellarine Websites.
Portarlington News 2020
2020 was a most difficult time for all members.
Yet we volunteers at the PBDA managed to produce the best Business and Community directory in our history, plus we were also able to hold our Christmas function in the View Room at the golf club with one weeks’ notice.
It was the most successful and probably the best Christmas event we have run.
Finally the best Christmas Gift Program ever.
20 families received $700 each = $14,000.
Yes it was a difficult year, yet the PBDA volunteers produced the best Directory, Christmas Function and Christmas Gift program.
Thank you to all that contributed.

On one Sunday the queue of both locals and visitors stretched down towards the bank and I was asked by one of the customers if I was a local and said yes and I asked where he was from and he replied Colac. I then asked if he was here with the family for the weekend and he said no my wife told me that the grandchildren were coming in the afternoon and he was to drive to Daniels at Portarlington and purchase two dozen assorted donuts and return to Colac.
